Davide Golia is a founding partner of the firm. He began his legal career in 1982 with a regional law firm specializing in government contracts, public works construction, private and commercial construction, business and civil litigation. He was recruited by the international firm of Finley, Kumble, Wagner, Heine, Underberg, Manley, Myerson & Casey, then the second largest firm in the world. At Finley Kumble, Mr. Golia represented Fortune 500 clients, litigating complex and multimillion dollar civil, business and construction cases, including several related to the construction of the 150 million dollar Naval hospital in San Diego. Since co-founding the firm, he has represented clients in litigation involving construction, business disputes, real estate and regulatory matters. Mr. Golia has tried numerous jury trials, bench trials, administrative hearings and arbitrations, many lasting more than 20 trial days. He has won cases before the Arizona Supreme Court, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and California Fourth District Court of Appeal. His published appellate decisions include Lundell v. Anchor Construction Specialists (2000) 223 F.3d 1035 [in a case against a construction surety, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals agreed with Mr. Golia's interpretation of the standards for proof of a bankruptcy claim] and Anserv Insurance Services, Inc. v. Albrecht (1998) 960 P.2d 1159 [in a dispute between an insurer and a managing general agent, the Arizona Supreme Court agreed with Mr. Golia's interpretation of the procedural rules for pleading a complaint]. Despite his willingness to aggressively pursue a matter through trial and appeal, Mr. Golia's substantial trial experience is a reason many cases are resolved short of trial.

Mr. Golia has also served as an arbitrator and mediator for complex contract and construction disputes. He is admitted to practice law in all California state and federal courts and the United States Court of Federal Claims. In addition, he has practiced before the Engineering Board of Contract Appeals, and the Arizona Superior, Appellate and Supreme Courts. He has served on several committees of the San Diego Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America, and was on its Board of Directors in 2005, 2006 and 2008, and Executive Committee for 2004 and 2009. Mr. Golia has been awarded the highest accolade by Martindale-Hubbell, an A.V. rating, as a highly respected and ethical member of the State Bar of California and San Diego County Bar Association. Mr. Golia received his juris doctor from the University of San Diego where he was a member of the San Diego Law Review. Mr. Golia received his Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Chaminade University. He was named a "California Super Lawyer" in 2007, 2008 and 2009, a Top 25 San Diego Construction and Business litigator in 2006 and 2007, and a Top 10 San Diego Construction and Real Estate Attorney in 2008.
